With ceaseless effort for imparting quality education the Mechanical Engineering Department has developed a remarkable repute since 2003. Mechanical Engineering Department program provides an in depth study of Machine Design & CAD, Theory of Machine, Turbo Machinery, Manufacturing Process & CNC Machines, Automobile Engineering, Thermal Engineering & Computer Integrated Manufacturing. Department gives special focus on industrial aspects of the curriculum and supplements with topics beyond the syllabus..

Department has more than 30 highly qualified and experienced faculty. Most of them are with Masters and a few with Ph.D. degrees. Faculty is encouraged to attend various seminar and conferences to keep them abreast with latest knowledge in the field. Department focuses on overall development of the students imparting skills through the live projects, industrial visits, seminars, group discussion etc. Design, Testing, Consultancy & Research Cell

Under the department there are 18 state of the art laboratories. These laboratories are well equipped with latest and advanced instruments. Department is especially proud of facilities available in AutoCAD and CAD / CAM labs.. In all the laboratories experimental facilities are continuously upgraded to be in tune with the technological and industrial advancement. The students are given thorough workshop training to familiarize them with the working of machine tools used in industry such as lathe, milling machine, drill machine, shaper, welding machine etc.

Aim of the department is to make the student a complete mechanical engineer. For obtaining this level of expertise each course is minutely scrutinized and wherever necessary the syllabus is appropriately supplemented by additional topics. Effective teaching is implemented through the innovative and interactive learning process with conventional learning mechanism such as lectures, lab sessions etc. There is an excellent blend of dynamic faculty members in the department guided by a group of eminent and experienced professors.
