The aim of the diploma course is to train quality technicians with application based and industry oriented skills. The study scheme consists of curricular components comprising courses in general studies, applied sciences, basic engineering/technology, applied engineering/technology and specialized areas (electives) in line with the advancement in technology and skills in newer emerging trades emerged. In addition to imparting technical skills in the chosen area of RGI endeavours to provide industry relevant education and training to its students with well crafted practical training programmes. The students moving to the second and third year are provided with hand on training facilities in the fields like product design and manufacturing, fabrication and welding, ‘Computing Technologies, Computer networking, Computer Applications, Internet Technologies, Electrical Machines/transmission distribution Electronic Hardware Design/Simulation/Analysis /tasting and repair. Also the students moving to the final year are being trained in the real workplace, i.e. factories, industrial installations and R & D centres etc.
